in chronic liver disease there is dysfunction of the liver cells, causing hyperestrogenemia with release of vasodilator substances causing palmar erythema.
enlargement of the parotid gland may be due to cialadenitis 2ry to autoimmune process, also esp. seen in acoholics

Palmar erythema in chronic liver disease occurs due to opening of AV channels. Parotid enlargement may be due to direct viral involvement, hormonal imbalance.
