my daughter is 22 months old,one of our family member is havin mediastinal lymph nodes on HRCT,LUNG PARENCHYMA NORMAL and minimal plerual effusion.he has been started on AKT.DO MY DAUGHTER REQUIRE AKT PROPHYLAXIS WITH HR_?

your affected family member is infectious only if he is coughing with air-droplet infection.

2} Do a MT and Xray chest as preliminary investigation to your asymptomatic daughter to exclude infection and disease.

3} If she is negative for both –do nothing but observation.

4} If she is positive with MT {5TU} she need one drug prophylaxis for 6 mths.
