Following blood transfusion, when should the hemoglobin should be measured` immediately or after 24hrs_? Is there is any scientific evidence for such practices_?

Following Blood Tx the ideal time to measure Hb is 24 hrs post Blood Tx It has been worked out that it takes 24 hrs to restore the internal millieu post Blood Tx.
Since lot of patients receive Blood Tx on OPD basis it is recommended to do it 1 hr post Tx especially in patients of Beta Thalassaemia Major who are receiving life long Blood Tx.
