dear sir, i want to know about newer ,nonsedative antihistaminics to be used in allergic rhinitis in less than 6 months.what r the treatment modalities in allergic rhinitis in less than 6 months.

FDA recommends that no OTC cough and cold syrups should be used in children less than 2 years of age. However in allergic rhinitis, one can use cetrizine 2.5 mg OD in children more than 6 months of age. No other antihistamines are recommended in children less than 6 months of age.
