A child, 1 year old with Rickets- Nutritinal rickets who has developed significant bowing of the legs, does he need any orthopedic intervention_? OR any specialiazed physiotherapy_? And at what age_? Other than the bowing of legs, the child has shown good biochemical response and healing Rickets on follow-up. He is also walking normally.

It has been found that bowing may take many months to even couple of years to improve post treatment for rickets. Thus one needs to observe the child.
