A 20 WEEK OLD BABY HAS FAILURE TO THRIVE. HE IS BREASTFED AND WEIGHS ONLY 10LB 14OZ. HE HAS NOT GAINED ANY WEIGHT SINCE HE WAS EIGHT WEEKS OLD. HE HAS PLENTY OF WET NAPPIES AND IS NOW EATING ABOUT 8 TEASPOONS OF FOOD A DAY. HOW DO I APPROACH SUCH A CASE?

exclude malapsorption
exclude any chronic disease
