1month old male baby, 1st by birth order, born of nonconsanguinous marriage, was admitted with h, o painful limb movements, sweling over perineal area gradually preogressing over both LLs, ant. abdominal walll and both ULs. no significants antenatal, natal or immediate postnatal history. On examination baby was febrile, had tenderness over both LLs. his counts were normal besides platelets 20000. crp was high 9, other septic screen was negative. he was given IV antibiotics- Meropenem, vancomycin. On D7 also he did not have improvement. He was given IVIG. He was started on Ibugesic, after that his inflammatory signs dramatically decreased, pain also decreased.
Please advice regarding etiology
