Rheumatic chorea is abrupt, purposeless, unilateral or bilateral involuntary movement, which disappears during sleep. The pathogenesis is Arteritis, cellular degeneration, embolization and infarction of cortex, basal ganglia, substantia nigra and cerebellum.
