Hemagglutination-inhibiting and complement-fixing antibodies to dengue antigen.Many rikettsial diseases,meningococsemia,and other severe illness caused by variety of agents may produce a similiar clinical picture the etioligic diagnosis should be made only when epidmioligic or serologic evidence suggests the posibilty of dengue fewer.

Well, in my country, DHF is common, and as far as I know IgM detection isn't regularly conducted. The diagnosis is simply made up by thrombocytopenia and Rumpel-Leede test.
