The maximum normal adult value of HbA2 is 3.4 percent as per the Nelson Text book of Pediatrics, but in the MCQ set 2, the correct answer is given as 2.4 percent. Kindly verify.. Thank you.

Normal values of HbA2 is approximately 2.4. However it can increase in conditions such as malaria and normal range can be upto 3.4. Values above 3.5 are suggestive of thalassemia minor.
