I think both plain as well as combination are effective in enteric
However
I do'nt think ceftriaxone -sulbactam combination is any way needed for enteric fever .It will add only to cost for sulbactum

Ceftriaxone has got a good result in enteric fever. There are no studies to determine whether sublactum combination is better for typhoid.
