Is it true that it's no more contraindicated to use phototherapy in DIRECT HYPERBILIRUBINEMIA?

as a principle, phototherapy is not contraindicated in direct hyperbilirubinemia, but it can be useless, especially if free bilirubin does not exceed high levels that are themselves indications for phototherapy. And a "bronze baby syndrome" is still an issue.
