Is Hib vaccine is a must to all children , like D.P.T, Hep B,

andB.C.G, or optional like Varicella,andTyphoid,{ in Indian Govt.

hospitals} pl. clarify_?

Earlier it was an optional vaccine, but now on recommendations of IAP it is gradually being introduced in all govt hospitals. however, it is not yet available in most hospitals

HiB vaccine as per the Indian Academy of Pediatrics is to be given to all children. However in the Govt of India schedule it is still not a compulsory vaccine.
