in case of thallesemia where s,ferritin goes above 4000microgram , lit despite giving Deferasirox .what should be the future course _?what should be the target level for ser.ferritin

add iv desferoxamine ..target below 500...recheck after 6 months

Target level for Ferritin should be less than 1000. If it is not coming under control with deferasirox, then rule out non-compliance. If compliance is not an issue, then other chelators such as desferral may be considered.
