The latest IAP recommendation of 2005 is correct and that is same as National immunization schedule. Please remember that in addition to the primary three doses at 6,10 1nd 14 weeks of age, babies who can be approached at birth, one dose should be given. At the age of 16-18 months another dose of OPV is recommended. However IAP suggests an additional dose of OPV and DPT-DaPT at 5 years age. Govt of India recommends only DT vaccine at this time. All babies in addition to these doses should receive all doses of Pulse polio from birth to 5 years of age till Polio is eradicated from the country.
