I have an 8 year old daughter who still wet's at night. We have tried the standard things, nothing to drink after a certain time. Bladder streching exer. and such. She has now started to have U.T. infections. What can be done?

IT SEEMS HER WETTING AT NIGHT IS PREVIOUSLY UNDIGNOSED U.T.I.AND NOT A BEHAVIOURAL PROBLEM WHICH IS USUALLY THE CASE. HENCE, IT IS IMPERATIVE TO INVESTIAGATE HER FOR U.T.I. STARTING WITH ROUTINE URINE EXA., URINE C-S,AND THEN USG-KUB. CONCUREENTLY, HER U.T.I. NEEDS TO BE TREATED WITH APPROPRIATE ANTIBIOTICS,URINARY AKALINIZERS, AND SYMPTOMATIC TREAMENT. SHE ALSO NEES TO BE ADVISED ABOUT INCRESEAD FLUID INTAKE-WHICH MAY BE CURTAILED 2 HOURS PRIOR TO BEDTIME, NOT TO CONTROL URGE TO URINATE,ETC.

better to get her urine c-s exam. done and treat accordingly.ultra sound and mcu-ivp study would further rule out lower urinary tract anomalies.if every thing found ok she can be given trial of desmopressin nasal spray.
