I had a case of 3 month old child weighing 3.3kg{ Prematurely born child , now on EBM}, with a diagnosis of septicaemia, found to be Hyperglycemic{ Child not on IVF,Steroids}.Without any active interventions as regards the hyperglycemia, the child came out of the crisis. The subsequent blood sugar was normal. Child has active and vigorous sucking now. What is the cause of hyperglycemia?

seems infection{stress} induced hyperglycemia. There is no mention of urine sugar-ketones?
