One would have to look at the PO2 and PCO2 along with clinical symptoms. IF required one can correlate the saturation with pulse oximeter or else repeat the ABG again.

pO2 in arterial blood gas will be significantlyhigher in arteial blood gas as compared to venous. If patient SaO2 is more than 95 Percent PaO2 in arterial blood gas should be more than 90 mmHg but will be around 60-70 mmHg in venous blood gas. further pH in arterial bllod gas is roughly .05 higher and pCO2 5 mmHg lower than venous blood sample.
