Palpate the bladder. If bladder is palpabale, one may try and give hot water formentation. If it does not work, catheterise with caution and then work up for PU Valves. If bladder is not palpable, rule our pre-renal failure and acute renal failure. Give a bolus of 20cc-kg ringer lactate with Frusemide and see whether the child passes urine. Before giving frusemide, rule out dehydration, shcok and hypokalemia.
