hellow dr.
i am pediatrician ,i discovered by accident that i have hepatitis c with viral load of 9 million IU, ml, normal liver enzymes,normal PT and CBC,liver biobsy and genotyping not done, I am healthy man.
i recieved pegylated interferon plus
Ribavirin
for 48 weeks
at 3 month PCR was negative and at 6 month and end of treatment also was negative ,but now at 4 months after completion of treatment hep c PCR is 68000IU, ml
what is your advice for next step_?

Expert Answer :
Before going in for therapy again, it is better to do liver biopsy and see if liver is actively affected. Consider treatment if liver is involved.
