For how long we have to continue treatment with immunogammaglobulins for a case of panhypogammaglobulinemia?

In case of congenital agammaglobulinemia, one needs to continue IVIG for life. However a 6 monthly serum immunoglobulin level is advised and as some of the panhypogammaglobulinemia may have normal values by 7 years of age.
Before labelling a child as Hypogammaglobulinemia rule out other secondary causes of low immunoglobulins such as severe infection, malnutrition etc.
