Does a V-P shunt cause intestinal obstruction in a child having congenital hydrocephalus?

yes,it has been raerly described with the complication of v p shunt.

Yes, though rare, can be due to inability to remove the peritoneal catheter followed by small-bowel obstruction and necrosis due to intestinal strangulation in a tight loop of the catheter.
