can we give a short course of steroids either Prednisolone or Methyl Prednisolone in cases of allergic bronchitis or asthmatic bronchitis_?

Yes you can give short course of oral steroids along with bronchodilators in acute attacks of intermittent allergic bronchitis in young children. However moutelukast is worth trying as an preferred alternative.
