yes,they can up to 5 cm.

Once the pubertal growth is completed, one is unlikely to gain
height as the epiphysis now fuse with
the shaft and thus the bones do not increase in length. Infact in girls,
once the menses start, the height may grow by only about 1-2 inches
after that.
