Ceftriaxone
when given iv cause convulsions? I had such experience in atleast two or three cases. Please explain

No, there have been no proven data on that. Rule out other causes of seizures such as electrolyte imbalance, meningitis etc.

on giving iv the concentration in blood increases and on reaching brain
it controls the sympathetic activity and leads to convulsions

i have heard about it.but in my experience it doesnot.
may be some sub standard brands responsible for it.
whati have experienced is if given fast i.v.,many patients vomit.its especially true about ceftriaxone Plus sulbactum combination.
