A thalasemic girl{Beta Thalasemia minor-HbA2 = 5} is having high iron binding capacity. Does she require Iron therapy?

Yes, a thalessmia minor can also develop iron deficiency anemia and iron supplements may be required if there is iron deficiency.

yes,concomittant IDA can b there alongwith thal. trait needing iron supplementation.
