A child of 6 yrs presnted c fever 14 days,used ABs and Antimalarial before coming here.Investigations revealed mod elevation of CRP , ESRand splenic infarcts.We excluded Sickle cell anemia by Hb Electrophoresis,CML by BM Aspiration study.Echo heart was N.What are the DD of Fevers plus Splenic Infarcts.

Splenic infarct is most commonly associated with haematological disorders. Sickle haemoglobinopathy, leukaemias, lymphomas, and infective endocarditis are well known causes. Other causes are SLE, Amyloidosis, Kawasaki disease, Sarcoidosis, Wegener’s granulomatosis, Polyarteritis nodosa, Meningococcaemia, Kala-azar {visceral leishmaniasis}, Infectious mononucleosis, Clostridium perfringens, Campylobacter, Salmonellosis, plasmodium vivax, Plasmodium falciparum, Leptospirosis
