A 12 YRS OLD BOY CAME WITH COMPLAINT THAT WHEN
EVER SOME ONE GIVE A THUMP ON LEFT SIDE OF HIS CHEST UNKNOWINGLY HE FEEL SEVERE PAIN THERE IN BLACK OUT IN FRONT OF EYES HE USED TO LIE DOWN ON BED FOR FEW MIN. ONLY AFTER FEW MIN OF REST HE BECOME NORMAL.THIS IS HAPPENENNG FOR LAST ONE YEAR.ON EXAMINATION THERE IS SLIGHT DEPRESSION AT LOWER PART OF CHEST ON BOTH SIDE.THERE IS TENDERNESS AT LEFT FOURTH COSTO CHONDRO JUNCTION.WHAT COULD BE THE CAUSE OF SEVERE PAIN ON LEFT SIDE OF CHEST PAIN IS SO SEVERE THAT IT GIVES A SYNCOPAL ATTACK.

Expert Answer :
Get an Xray chest, ECG. Rule out an arrhythmia. IF Xray chest shows cardiomegaly, get an echocardiography done.
