a 12 yrs old boy came with complaint of sore throat one
month back after that he developed fever which is still
persisting. for the last 20 days he developed pain and
swelling in large joint.pain started from rt knee later ankle
elbow added.now he has pain in all joints.pain is very
severe.he is also having pain in neck and back.he is not
able to squat.he is also having pain in back and neck.there
are small nodules at elbow and knuckles.CRDIOVASCULAR SYS IN NAD.BRIEFLY HE IS HAVING FEVER FOR MONTH PAIN IN SWELLING INVOLVING ALL JOINTS FOR 20 DAYS. ON EXAM JOINTS ARE TENDER.SUBCUTANEOUS NODULE ARE PRRSENT AT ELBOW AND KNUCKLE.WHAT COULD BE DIAGNOSIS.

Expert Answer :
It could be rheumatic fever or juvenile idiopathic arthritis. Do ASLO, ANA, dsDNA, RA factor, echo. Treat with NSAIDS for time being.
