a 11 month old child with head cir.of44cm and length of 73cms.with weight of 8.4 kgs. The child is otherwise active playful with normal milestones.but ain issue with which the parents have come is no dentition till now and sparse hair growth.What assurance should be given to parents.Should we think of some pathological condition in this child. father ht.163 cm. mother ht.159.cm.

Wait till 1 year of age for the dentition to come. If it still does not come by one year of age, then evaulation may be required. Regarding sparse hair, that may be normal variant also. If it persists with delayed dentition, rule out vitamin D resistant rickets.
