Question :
Q. A child has a history of either Asthma or Recurrent wheeze-associated LRI.
In case of Fever in both situations, where Paracetamol is ineffective, can Ibuprofen or Mefenamic acid used?
Is NSAIDS contraindicated even if the child DOES NOT have respiratory-related problems during the said fever?

im
paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose is effective and one should find out cause of fever. Mefenamic acid is not recommended below 14 yrs. Ibuprofen is not contraindicated but better to avoid in this case
