5 month old girl born to non consanguineous parents on bottle feeds since birth.. middle class family.. baby presented initially at 2 months of age .. wt. 2.7 {b.wt. 2.5} in shock following diarroea.. developed status epilepticus during that episode.. electrolytes normal...csf normal... treated as sepsis outside... on zerolac since then.. on bottle feeds.. now at 5 months baby weighs 5.5 kg.. had 3 hospitalizations with diarrhoea which was watery and foul smelling... attempts stop bottle feeds were not effective.... parents say baby doesnt tolerate lactogen or rice based food. baby is thriving well at the moment.. investigations cbc,stool routine normal... HOW TO GO ABOUT THIS CASE_?

What milk is the child on_? Is it cow`s milk or formula milk_? If cows milk, rule out cows milk allergy. The loose motions may have been due to the bottle. Try and wean the child off the bottle soon.
