4kg baby with birth asphyxia and congestive heart faliure on first day connected to ventilator and has urine 200ml in first 10 h how to calculate his fluid requirement and if he has hypoglyce and metabolic acido isit necessary to distract Glucose and hco3 push from his total requirement .and if we want to restrict fluids what is maximum Dextrose concentra to be given through central line

Yes you have to take the fluids you use to push in his total requirement. Through the central line you can give Dextrose up to 20 percent if required, but rarely you will need to do that..................I think ONE Should not and cannot learn Neonatology by writing emails like this - it is better you attend a workshop run by either IAP or NNF.
