WHO guidelines says cipro flox.oflox,cefixime as a choice of
antibiotics in dysentry.Here we do not find any reference
about Colistin sulphate,furazolidine etc.i want your esteem
opnion about the indication of use of syp furoxone syp Colistin sulphate in dysentry in children

The use of cipro , oflox, and Cefixime is well documented to treat dysentry depending up on the sensitivity pattern that is why WHO has recommended their use . The use of Colistin and furozolidine is out of fashion for long time , but these can be reconsidered after knowing the sensitivity against them.
