what r the treatment options available for allergic rhinitis in infants less than 3 months.which r the best
5
Expert Answer :
Allergic rhinitis in a 3 month old should be carefully diagnosed. This can be accomplished with skin testing or with a blood test {RAST}. Treatment revolves around avoiding allergens and irritants, immunotherapy to desensitize people to allergens, and medicines to control symptoms. Mast cell stabilizers can be used. Antihistamines such as cetrizine may be used. If persistent then nasal steroid spray may be needed.
