Counselling,Treatment of infections, physiotherapy, maintaining ambulation as long as possible, early treatment of CCF. Steroids may help in delaying the disease progress.Antenatal diagnosis

Management of DMD consists of physiotherapy and maintainence of mobility as long as possible. Occasionally streoids may be given to extend mobility. Rest treatment will be of complications such as spinal deformities and respiratory infections. A regular cardiac evaluation will be required to look for cardiomyopathy.
