There have been studies on Ranitidine and PPI's causing community aquired pneumonia in children using them for GERD or acid peptic diseases. My question is what other option do we have if not gastric acid inhibitors? And how ominous is the threat?

use simple measures like proper burping,,,prokinetic agents like cisapride very judiciousely.
