SIR,

What is the treatment to be given to a child who is

asymptomatic, close contact with mother developed

chickenpox rash _?{ child is completely asymptomatic

age 2 yrs}

For an asymptomatic 2 years old child in close contact with mother suffering from Chickenpox, 1st dose of Varicella Vaccine may be given if exposure is within 72 hours.Other wise no treatment is necessary with antiviral drugs.
