For complete immunity against HIb vaccine, one needs to give 3 doses at 2,4,6 months of age followed by a booster dose at 1 half years of age. Thus, extra dose is not required.

THE WORD ABSCESS HAS BEEN WRONGLY USED BY YOU ,AS IT IS A LOCAL REACTION DUE TO THE PERTUSIS COMPONENT OF THE COMBINATION VACCINE.THE VAC IS FULLY EFFECTIVE,NO REPEATITION REQUIRED.SWELLING SUBSIDES IN A MONTHS TIME.
