may you tell me what the half life of plateletes is_?

Expert Answer :
Half life of Normal platelet is approximately 10 days.
Platelets transfused have half life of approximately 24 hrs to 36 hrs
In a patient of AITP platelet half life can be as short as few minutes to hrs. hence it is relatively contraindicated to transfuse platelets in AITP
