In an attack of acute asthma, there is alot of mucus. Mucus blocks air flow.
Ambroxol is a mucokinetic. It makes mucus flow upwards out of the lungs or
respiratory tract. Facilitating removal of mucus from the lungs or respiratory tract, by ambroxol should be encouraged.
In acute attacks of asthma, there is also bronchoconstriction, Bronchodilators make the bronchioles, in the respiratory tract to widen.

Combining bronchodilators, with a mucus removal aid {ambroxol} in the same formulation, or product, or use together can be beneficial.
