Is pulsatile fontanelle always pathological?

Pulsatile anterior fonatenelle may be seen even in normal infants. If very pulsatile rule out an arterio-venous malformation. What is important is bulging fontanelle which may occur with hydrocephalus, meningitis and raised ICT.
