Is dexa still useful in pediatric brain tumour induced increased ICP?

yes. dose 0.5mg per kg stat followed by 0.15mg per kg 6-8hrly.

Dexamethasone is useful to decrease vasogenic edema and perilesional edema around a tumor. However in patients with brain tumor, it should be used with caution as it may decrease the tumor and histologically it may be difficult to get a diagnosis post steroids.
