In managing a patient with kawasaki disease ,when is the best time to satrt the Aspirin -is it after the IVIG dose or simultaneously? When is the best time to reduce the dose of the Aspirin and when to stop?

best time to start is after IVIG, however considering the cost of ivig and poor rates of diagnosing the condition though purely clinical albiet with some lab support and the later detection of arteritis it is more feasible to give aspirin immediately in stst dose and then give maintanance till coronries are conclusively proved to be not involved at repeat 2 d echo done at the end of 2 weeks

asprin should be started immediately after IVIG and it should be given in higher doses for 1 wk 80mg-kg and then to be reduced to 3mg-kg for 3 wks

aspirin should be started immediately as disease is diagnosed in high doase 100mg-kg and it should be continued for one wk then it should be t-reduced to 5 mg-kg and tobe continued for 6-8 wks until pt becomes normal

Reuce after 2 weeks n stop after 2 weeks.
