If a mantoux test read after 48 hrs is negative, but after 4 days the child develops induration and erythema more than 10mm at that site, should it be taken as significant?

yes. I do not think we should be rigid for 48 hours. I will take this reaction as significant

Yes, It will be treated as positive. Induration usually peaks at 48-72hrs but may remain present for about 7days. In your case, the peak of induration is somewhat late.

as per practice late responders are not identified as positive. but PPD should be repeated in other arm
