It is extremely difficult to measure the IQ of a child with autism. Their inability to interact socially, communication problems and behavioral problems leads to an inaccurate measurement of their intellectual abilities. Thus, to assess intelligence one has to go to an expert who deals with such children and also do the test in the atmosphere where the child is most socially interactive.
However, the IQ tests need to be interpreted with caution.
