How significantly can retrognathia cause obstructive apnoea with cyanosis, or any other additional risk factors should be there?

Retrognathia can lead to airway obstruction due to glossoptosis {posteroinferior displacement of the tongue} which results in oropharyngeal obstruction. Older children with retrognathia {Treacher Collins} and snoring with obstructive symptoms may benefit from surgery.
