Does Erythromycin have effect on gastrointestinal motility? if yes, can we use it to increase gastric motility in neonates?

yes, it stimulates gi receptors and stimulte intestinal motility.... in neonates its use is not fully studied for incresed gi motility . hence avoid it for this purpose.

no.the only approved use of erythromycin in neonate is chlamydia infection.

yes,and its used as prokenitic in a
case of gastroesophegeal reflux
