Expert Answer :
Answer cannot be based on just one number. Al that 60 mg morning blood Glucose level suggests is over correction by early morning. This may result from higher long acting dose previous night or too long fasting time after night meal. It is also important to evaluate degree of control of diabetes, duration of disease and compliance of treatment as well as Insulin dosage plan. It is ideal to keep blood sugar level between 100 and 200 and may be further even tighter control. It takes few weeks for newly diagnosed diabetes patient to achieve it and further fluctuations are caused by variation in diet, exercise and illness.
