Expert Answer :
Desloratidine dose in children less than 2 years of age is not yet established. However a study in BCJP 2007 has shown that Desloratadine syrup offers a safe treatment option for allergic conditions in young children, with suitable doses in those aged more than 6 months -1 year and more than 1 year- less than 2 years of 1.0 mg {2.0 ml} and 1.25 mg {2.5 ml}, respectively. It is currently not recommended for use in children less than 6 months of age.
